T-Street, San Clemente September 17th, 2005
"The Monster Down Under" peaked yesterday. A storm from New Zealand pushed the biggest swell that So Cal has seen since the Spring of 2004. Trestles saw 10' + waves and The Wedge was over 15'. Today, the swell had slightly dropped, but still provided great conditions with waves a little overhead.
This was only Austin's second time surfing. He stayed close to shore and surfed the white wash standing up on nearly every wave he caught. Dad tried his luck with the surf farther out; fortunately, there aren't any photos of the countless "Pearls" and "Over the falls".
